Blanca – Adopted December 30, 2011

“Just wanted to let you know that we did adopt Blanca — the same day you introduced us to her! We had planned to bring my husband back Saturday to meet her but just couldn’t wait.
She has been an absolute delight. She is very obviously crate and housetrained. In fact, when we got her home we took her into the backyard to look around while we got her crate set up inside the house. She wouldn’t come into the house until we told her she could – she sat right outside of the open door until we gave the ok! We also learned that when she eats outside she prefers her food in the grass as opposed to on the patio. She promptly carried her dish from the patio to the grass the first night. Otherwise, she loves to snuggle and is very cozy at night in her crate with her blanket AAS sent home with us and her big puppy pad. She will even stay in her crate with the door open just watching us. She loves walks and has already made a few puppy friends in the neighborhood. She’s a very fast learner and very, very obedient. She has been so gentle with my two daughters and lets them lay on her and rub her as much as they want. Needless to say, she’s already a loved part of our family!

Thank you so, so much for introducing us to Blanca. I just wish we’d made the trip to the shelter 60 days ago to have brought her home when she first came in. We will always be grateful to you, Sara (another volunteer who helped us Friday evening when we came back to visit with my husband) and AAC for this wonderful gift.”
