Hank – Rescued by Austin Pets Alive!

Hank is a good-looking, energetic goofball who will fit well in a loving home. Here’s what one of our volunteers said about him after she took him home for an overnight a couple of times:
“Hank spent the night with me on 2 separate occasions. He was quiet and calm in the car. He loved being inside and stayed close to where ever I went. He was constantly looking to me for reinforcement that it was ok to be here. Despite his size, he can be a total lap dog. I got on the floor next to the dog bed and he just leaned in for petting and smiled. I tugged and pulled on on his ears and tail, and messed with his toes -he did not mind at all. Hank surprisingly played fetch in the backyard! He never does this at the shelter, but maybe the cooler evenings gave him a little burst of energy. Hank woke up twice during the night to come check on me. I took him outside each time ,but he did not need to relieve himself. He mostly slept on the dog bed, but at some point moved on to the couch. No barking, no accidents. Great dog who was a nice companion in my quiet home.“
